Our name
KALON means «heart» in Breton.
With humility and faith,
we want to be at the heart of Rennes and its gatherings.
We want to be a place that both delights and nourishes the heart.
We want to be a place where people experience the heart of God, so that our own may be transformed.
We want to be at the heart of every experience: culinary, relational and spiritual.
The project
To bring together in one place:
– a cosy café for quiet afternoons or a heart-to-heart
– homemade cakes for a tasty treat
– a second-hand bookshop for inspiration
– festive events and creative or spiritual workshops for learning and growing together

The team
The vision is carried by six Christians from different evangelical churches in Rennes:
Shari, Claire, Leena, Alix, Gil and Christine.
They are united by a shared motivation: to reflect Christ in the heart of the city of Rennes.
